THE SCHOOL

La Maternelle was born from the friendship of two French moms, Rose and Johanne. Their belief in the value of a bilingual education from an early age is the heart of the school’s program. They are committed to aiding children’s development in all areas, based on their individual needs.

Their unique approach combines a dynamic introduction to academics in a bilingual environment, with wonderful opportunities to socialize, explore, create and play!

La Maternelle is located in a nice neighborhood in the Upper West Side near Riverside Park. The school is designed to be a nurturing environment, bright and welcoming, with lively and kid-friendly wall art (created by local artist Kim Jaimes). When weather permits children will enjoy supervised play time outside in neighborhood playgrounds or will take nature walks in the nearby park.

Character building, positive values, and respect for others are essential components of each day at La Maternelle.

La Maternelle operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM.
